WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Deluzio (PA-17) is releasing new data that he learned during his oversight visit inside Pennsylvania’s largest Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center last Thursday. 

 

CENTER TOWNSHIP, PA — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced that the Borough of Beaver is receiving $227,500 in federal funds through the Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside TASA) Program. The funding will support the installation of fourteen lighted pedestrian signs at seven crosswalks throughout the Borough, including at Beaver Area High School and Middle School, College Square Elementary, and Saints Peter and Paul Elementary. 

PHILIPSBURG, PA — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) and Congresswoman Summer Lee (PA-12) conducted an unannounced oversight visit to the Moshannon Valley Processing Center and Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) facility in Clearfield County, PA. After a 30-minute wait, the two members of Congress were allowed inside and were inside the facility for around two hours. Their staff were not allowed to enter.

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — On Tuesday night, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) joined a town hall about trade and tariffs at the United Steelworkers (USW) headquarters. At the event, he spoke with union members, retirees, and Pennsylvanians about the need for an American trade policy that puts workers and communities ahead of an unending lust for profit at any cost. Public Citizen hosted the town hall as part of their Global Trade Watch division.
