WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee member Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) successfully had his bill the Railway Safety Act amended into the BUILD America 250 Act—a major transportation bill.

 

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representatives Chris Deluzio (D-PA-17), Brendan Boyle (D-PA-02), and U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) reintroduced the Ending Passenger Rail Forced Arbitration Act, legislation providing Amtrak passengers a pathway to seek justice after incidents of negligence or misconduct. 

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Friday, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) and Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) introduced H.R 8853 to expand grant funding opportunities for Amtrak, a cornerstone of the U.S. public transportation system. The bill, the Amtrak Grant Flexibility Act, would make it easier for Amtrak to complete future projects, cut down on completion timelines, and improve passenger rail for the millions who rely on it each year.

This bill would require the Surgeon General to develop evidence-informed screentime recommendations for children. These would be recommendations based on independent, evidence-based research, not regulations on devices or users.

CARNEGIE, PA – Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced $10,741,043 in federal funding to continue upgrading the new terminal at the Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). The U.S. Department of Transportation through the Federal Aviation Administration awards this money, which will further improve the new terminal experience for Western Pennsylvanians.
