He was selected by House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries to fill a vacancy following the death of his colleague, New Jersey Congressman Donald Payne.

WEST VIEW, PA – Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced he secured a $1,000,000 federal investment in West View Borough’s Downtown revitalization project. Congressman Deluzio directed funding to this project as part of his congressional “Community Project Funding” requests that were included in the Fiscal Year 2024 spending bills.

The grant will upgrade 10 stations along the PRT Red Line to improve accessibility and compliance with ADA regulations

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last night, Navy and Iraq War veteran Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) voted to pass H.R. 8070, the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement Act otherwise known as the 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), out of the House Armed Services Committee. This annual, bipartisan legislation successfully passed out of committee 57-1. Next, the bill heads to the House Floor for debate and vote.
