The federal funds will update Dormont Junction to modernize the nearly 30-year-old station and advance transit-oriented development initiatives to make Dormont a more accessible, safe, and walkable community.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (D-PA-17), and U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and John Fetterman (D-PA) delivered $87,070,493 in federal funding for Mainspring Energy (MSE), a manufacturer of linear generators. With these funds, the company will build a new, state-of-the art manufacturing facility that will support new 891 jobs at the site near the airport. Funding comes from the Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grants Program, made possible by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Pennsylvania Congressmen Chris Deluzio (PA-17) and Brendan Boyle (PA-02) introduced the Rail Passenger Fairness Act to help Amtrak improve on-time performance for passenger train travel across the country. This bill would do this by taking on the problem of freight train interference, which happens when freight trains do not follow current law requiring them to provide preference to passenger trains operating on their rail lines.
