WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced that the core pieces of his 2024 “Shipbuilding Innovation Act” were included in section 501 and 521 of the SHIPS for America Act, the larger bipartisan and bicameral legislative package on shipbuilding that was introduced late last month.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In overnight and early morning votes in the House of Representatives, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) joined all of his fellow Democratic colleagues and two Republicans to vote ‘no’ on the Republican Tax Scam bill. The bill narrowly passed the Republican-controlled chamber 214-213 with one Republican voting present.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) and Congresswoman Sarah McBride (DE-AL) reintroduced their proposal to protect striking or locked-out workers from being cut off from their healthcare. As workers exercise their right to strike, employers too often use their power to cancel or threaten to cancel health insurance for striking or locked out workers. This has happened all across the country, including in Western Pennsylvania.

CARNEGIE, PA -- Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) released the following statement in response to news that dozens of National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health workers in Allegheny County that were fired by the Trump Administration would be reinstated. 

His statement reads:

“In early April, my team and I learned that the Trump Administration was firing around 200 workers at the National Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) facility in Allegheny County.
