PENN HILLS, PA — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced he secured a $800,000 federal investment to repair a partially collapsed section of Old William Penn Highway in Penn Hills and stave off further collapse and structural failure. The federal funds will support a safer road and easier traffic flow for residents, commuters, and worshippers at the nearby Sri Venkateswara Hindu Temple.

CORAOPOLIS, PA — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced he secured a $800,000 federal investment to replace and upgrade the aging roadway along School Street in the Borough of Coraopolis. The federal funds will produce a safer key traffic route for pedestrian/vehicular traffic and assist the Borough to reach lead pipe removal objectives.  

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Pennsylvania Congressmen Chris Deluzio (PA-17) and Brendan Boyle (PA-02) introduced the Rail Passenger Fairness Act to help Amtrak improve on-time performance for passenger train travel across the country. This bill would do this by taking on the problem of freight train interference, which happens when freight trains do not follow current law requiring them to provide preference to passenger trains operating on their rail lines.  

CENTER TOWNSHIP, PA — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio announced that a $594,500 federal grant has been awarded to the Women’s Center of Beaver County to support their efforts to provide safe, transitional housing for people experiencing domestic violence. The Women’s Center supports victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Beaver County, providing crisis intervention, emergency shelter, counseling, legal and medical advocacy, and prevention education. This grant comes from the U.S.
