WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Pennsylvania Congressmembers Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-05), and Madeleine Dean (PA-04) sent a letter to President Joe Biden commending the Biden-Harris Administration’s historic work to rein in price gouging corporations. In the letter, they also urge the administration to expand on their efforts to increase competition across the American economy and thus reduce costs for hardworking American families.

HARMAR TOWNSHIP, PA – Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) joined local law enforcement to celebrate the $50,000 that he secured for a new cruiser and dash camera system for the Harmar Township Police Department. He also toured to see the new cruiser.

CARNEGIE, PA — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced that Shaler Township, a community in Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District, is receiving $4.3 million in a federal investment for water infrastructure improvements. Specifically, the project will replace defective infrastructure in the Township’s public sewer system through PENNVEST low-interest financial assistance loans.

DORMONT, PA – Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced a $500,000 federal investment to improve public transit service in Dormont. The federal funds will update Dormont Junction to modernize the nearly 30-year-old station and advance transit-oriented development initiatives to make Dormont a more accessible, safe, and walkable community.

CARNEGIE, PA – This week, Representatives Chris Deluzio (PA-17) joined as an original co-sponsor of the Stop Wall Street Landlords Act reintroduced by Ro Khanna (CA-17), Katie Porter (CA-47), and Mark Takano (CA-39). This bill would end large institutional investors’ ability to use taxpayer dollars to subsidize the acquisition of single-family residential homes.

CARNEGIE, PA – Last week, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced he had delivered more than $2.2 billion in federal dollars back to the people and communities of Western Pennsylvania. As of this week, Congressman Deluzio adds something priceless to that tabulation: his office helped the Coraopolis Police Department secure a new police dog—at no cost to the department.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (D-PA-17), and U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and John Fetterman (D-PA) delivered $87,070,493 in federal funding for Mainspring Energy (MSE), a manufacturer of linear generators. With these funds, the company will build a new, state-of-the art manufacturing facility that will support new 891 jobs at the site near the airport. Funding comes from the Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grants Program, made possible by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

CARNEGIE, PA — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced that since taking office in January 2023, the people, businesses, and workers of Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District have received more than $2.29 billion dollars of federal grants and contracts. This is an increase of more than $655 million from the data collected as of July 2024 ($1.63 billion).
