Together and alongside other elected leaders, they announced Pennsylvania will receive a $200 million investment from President Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) to improve its water infrastructure and replace dangerous lead pipes in communities.
CARNEGIE, PA — Today, Congressman Deluzio announced $32,058,100 in federal funds for the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority to remove lead pipes across the City of Pittsburgh and in the Borough of Millvale. This funding, approved by the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST), comes from President’s Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act which passed into law in 2021.
