Darlington Township is just over the state line from East Palestine, Ohio, and was one of the communities impacted by the Norfolk Southern train derailment in February 2023.

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced $3,322,211 to bolster early childhood education at the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center (COTRAIC). These funds come from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and will specifically invest in the Center’s Early Head Start Program, which serves children ages 0-3 in the Native American community and other historically marginalized and underserved groups in Western Pennsylvania.
CARNEGIE, PA — Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) welcomed Vice President Kamala Harris and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Regan to Western Pennsylvania today. Together and alongside other elected leaders, they announced Pennsylvania will receive a $200 million investment from President Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) to improve its water infrastructure and replace dangerous lead pipes in communities.
CARNEGIE, PA — Today, Congressman Deluzio announced $32,058,100 in federal funds for the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority to remove lead pipes across the City of Pittsburgh and in the Borough of Millvale. This funding, approved by the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST), comes from President’s Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act which passed into law in 2021.
