CARNEGIE, PA — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) toured the headquarters of Astrobotic, a local space robotics company that serves as a major logistics and infrastructure provider for America’s return to the moon. The company has a significant economic footprint in Western Pennsylvania and, through its contracts with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), supports the nation’s goals and interests in space.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Navy and Iraq War veteran Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) placed an opinion piece in The Hill on December 29, 2024 warning that the VA is being hollowed out in favor of private profits. The piece “The GOP is waging a stealth attack on veterans’ healthcare” builds off of two Republican-led proposals that would, “strip the VA of its core functions, reducing it to little more than a checkbook for private-sector (and less accountable) providers.”  

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) voted to fund the government through March 14, 2025. Once the funding measure passes the Senate later tonight and is signed by the President, Congress will stave off yet another government shutdown and disruption of federal services. The final vote on the measure was 366 in support to 34 in opposition, with one voting present. All of the votes in opposition were by Republican congressmembers. 

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Deluzio (D-PA-17) and Congressman Mike Rulli (R-OH-06) sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin raising major concerns over the Department of Defense’s (DOD) efforts to receive approval to incinerate polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at a plant in East Liverpool, OH.
