Statement from Congressman Deluzio on H.Res. 939

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) put out the following comment after his “No” vote on the Motion to Table H.Res. 939, an Impeachment Resolution of President Trump. 

“Impeachment is one of Congress' most solemn responsibilities, and I take it very seriously.

“I join so many patriots who have deep concerns with the dangerous actions of the President and his Administration. Any impeachment process requires more thought and investigation than this sloppy and rushed resolution.

“Constitutional scholar Congressman Jamie Raskin leads Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, and today I joined him in voting not to table the motion to be able to send this resolution for full consideration in the Judiciary Committee.“
