Deluzio Talks Fighting Against Corporate Power, Restoring the American Dream on House Floor

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Wednesday night, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) took to the House Floor to share his economic vision of taking on corporate power, lowering costs, and restoring the American Dream. Over the course of his sixty-minute “Special Order Hour,” several congressional colleagues from various ideologies across the Democratic Caucus joined him on the House Floor, speaking to examples of corporate power wreaking havoc in their regions and districts.
Congressman Deluzio’s remarks focused on issues of consolidation, price gouging, and unchecked corporate power that make daily life more expensive, less reliable, and less safe.
In his remarks, Congressman Deluzio said, “The American people are sick and tired of powerful corporations ripping us off—junk fees, small businesses struggling, union busting, price gouging, bad trade deals, all of it. I’m convening this Special Order Hour today, because I am committed to fighting back. I am here because we need to revive and restore the American Dream for all who are willing to work for it. I know my constituents are.”
