Deluzio Statement on Cosponsoring H.R. 3565, the “Block the Bombs” Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Deluzio (PA-17) put out the following statement on his co-sponsorship of H.R. 3565, the Block the Bombs Act.

“I agree with Foreign Affairs Committee Ranking Member Meeks’ concerns about the Trump Administration bypassing Congress to send bombs to Israel as part of this Iran War that Congress has not authorized.

“Congress should be putting a stop to this reckless and deadly regime change war in Iran, not turning a blind eye to an Administration fueling it through weapons sales.

“Congress must take back its war powers and oversight responsibilities, and I am supporting legislation like H.R. 3565 to do it.”
