Deluzio Releases First Term Congressional Report, Highlights Wins and Progress for the People of Western PA

December 20, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Deluzio (PA-17) released a report highlighting his work over his first term representing the people of Western Pennsylvania. The report is available here

The report begins with a letter that reads in part:

“As 2024 wraps up, I’m struck by the enormous honor it is to represent all of us and to serve as our Congressman down in Washington. I will never take this job, or the responsibility it requires, for granted.

“Last year after I was sworn in, I wrote a mission statement that I display in my office, and that my staff have on their desks. It reads, “The people of Western PA are at the heart of all we do. Our servant leadership puts them, and the country, first. We serve them courageously—ever prepared, always decisive. For the love of those people and this country, we stand for a government that serves all of us, not just the rich and powerful. And in our deeds and our words, we put the common good above all else. And when we confront corporate power, self-interest, or threats to our freedoms, we never shy from a righteous fight.”

The report also includes a "Delivering for Western Pennsylvania: By the Numbers” section in which he shares the following statistics for his first term:

  • More than $5.78 million returned to constituents
  • More than 2,100 constituent cases closed
  • Since 2023, more than $2.2 billion in federal funds came to PA-17
  • Introduced 23 bills
  • Cosponsored more than 500 bills

Congressman Deluzio will be sworn in to his second term serving the people of Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District on January 3, 2025.
