Congressman Chris Deluzio Elected Vice Ranking Member of House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Receives Subcommittee Assignments

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) announced his election as Vice Ranking Member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee (HVAC), as well as his subcommittee assignments for HVAC and the House Armed Services Committee (HASC).

On the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, he will serve on the Subcommittee on Health as well as the Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs. Congressman Deluzio proudly receives his healthcare from the VA and will continue as a VA patient while in Congress. He is the only Democrat on the committee this Congress who is also a veteran.

As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Congressman Deluzio will serve on the Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces along with the Subcommittee on Cyber, Information Technology, and Innovation. Congressman Deluzio comes to Congress as a Naval Academy graduate and former naval officer, and with a background in cyber policy.
