Deluzio Delivers More than $193 million for Western PA in 2026 Spending Bills
Congressman Chris Deluzio brought home more than $193 million to the people of Western PA in Congress’ 2026 spending bills. That’s the most funding of any House Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives. According to Roll Call, he is also #3 out of all 435 U.S. House members when it came to delivering money this year.
Here are the Western PA projects he secured funding for in this year's spending bills:
$183,829,000 for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ mega project to modernize the Montogomery Locks and Dam in Beaver County
$900,000 for the Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa to purchase updated wastewater treatment equipment
$502,000 for Ross Township Police Department to purchase body-worn cameras
$125,000 for the Allegheny Valley Regional Police Department to purchase a police river patrol boat
$2,000,000 for the Borough of Aspinwall to create a safer intersection by realigning Brilliant Ave at Freeport Rd and the entrance to Allegheny RiverTrail Park–formerly known as Aspinwall Riverfront Park
$1,338,581 for the Borough of Crafton to implement a streetscaping and pedestrian safety project along Crafton Blvd, from Noble Ave to Baldwick Rd
$850,000 for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to replace the existing Verona Bridge in the Municipality of Penn Hills, located on Verona Rd between Mt. Carmel Rd and Lincoln Rd
$850,000 for Allegheny County to extend Panhandle Trail by about 3.4 miles by acquiring and converting inactive Pittsburgh & Ohio Central Railroad property from Genesse and Wyoming, Inc. (G&W) in the Borough of Carnegie
$850,000 for Mt. Lebanon Municipality to upgrade and expand their existing community recreation center, focusing on accessibility upgrades
$500,000 for Churchill Borough to build an all-inclusive, fully accessible playground
$250,000 for the Borough of Sewickley to implement the Sewickley Road Safety Improvement Project, which aims to monitor and eliminate roadways vulnerable to landslides
$250,000 for Ben Avon Borough to install a rooftop solar photovoltaic system on a borough-owned building
$1,015,000 for the Ambridge Borough Recreational Center in Beaver County to repurpose a former steel mill brownfield site into a regional asset that will promote economic development and provide recreation opportunities for surrounding communities
- $200,000 to help finance Tarentum’s water treatment plant and pump house upgrades, which will support critical mechanical and electrical upgrades at the municipal water plant
