About Rep. Deluzio

Elected in 2022, Congressman Chris Deluzio is serving his first term in Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 17th district. The district includes all of Beaver County and parts of Allegheny County. Congressman Deluzio is a native of Thornburg and lives with his family and dog Yankee Doodle in Allegheny County.

Congressman Deluzio is an Iraq War veteran, voting rights attorney, and union organizer. He graduated from Bishop Canevin High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree with merit from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Congressmen Chris Deluzio (D-PA-17) and Troy Nehls (R-TX-22) introduced the Railroad Retirement Fairness Act that would eliminate an outdated provision in federal law which unfairly reduces railroad retirement payments for certain retirees and spouses who continue working in non-railroad jobs after retirement. U.S. Senators Chris Coons (D-DE.) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) introduced companion legislation in the Senate. 

ALIQUIPPA, PA – This week, Congressman Chris Deluzio visited a Head Start classroom at Aliquippa Elementary School to read with students and meet with teachers and other leaders. Head Start is a federal program that provides no-cost childcare and early learning for young children up to age 5 whose families live below the federal poverty line. These programs have a goal of helping these kids reach the developmental milestones they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
